Mr. Geer is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Minneapolis office, where he is a member of the firm’s Financial Restructuring Group. He has advised on numerous large restructuring engagements, including Northwestern, Laidlaw, NRG Energy, Chiquita and Polaroid (and he represented Petters Group Worldwide in its post–Chapter 11 acquisition of Polaroid). He advised the official unsecured creditors committees in Refco and Conseco, and the company in Ritchie, a distressed hedge fund that owned life insurance policies purchased on the secondary market.

Mr. Geer has been involved in many other large financial-institution-related engagements, including advising KAMCO (Korea’s equivalent to the RTC) and acquirers of four of Korea’s largest international banks with respect to their recapitalization.

Mr. Geer earned his B.A. and M.A. in economics from Stanford University. He is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Representative (Series 7 and 63) and a Limited Representative – Investment Banking (Series 79). He speaks conversational Korean.
