LONDON – June 19, 2012 – Houlihan Lokey, the international investment bank, today announced its latest senior hire in Europe, as it continues its selective expansion in the region. Kristian Terling has joined as a Managing Director and Head of Nordic Coverage for the firm, with responsibility for further developing the firm’s corporate finance, financial advisory and financial restructuring businesses in the region. He has a joint reporting line to E.W. (Sandy) Purcell, Senior Managing Director and Head of International Financial Advisory Services; Joe Swanson, Managing Director and Co-Head of Financial Restructuring, Europe; and Stephen Winningham, Managing Director and Co-Head of Corporate Finance, Europe. Mr. Terling’s appointment is one of a number of recent senior hires for the firm in Europe, which has ongoing plans to further develop its presence in the region, both in terms of industry sector and geographic coverage.

Previously, Mr. Terling was a managing director and co-head of Nordic Investment Banking at Credit Suisse in London, where he built up a successful track-record in origination and execution of M&A and equity and debt raising transactions, as well as establishing a growing portfolio of corporate, financial sponsor, financial institutions and government relationships.

“Kristian brings with him significant knowledge of the Nordic markets, including extensive experience in building local client relationships and developing new business channels. Prior to working at Credit Suisse, Mr. Terling was a sector head in the corporate finance group at Handelsbanken Capital Markets in Stockholm, covering clients in the automotive, telecom equipment and engineering sectors. He started his career at Merrill Lynch International in London, where he was a vice president covering Nordic and technology clients.

Mr. Terling holds an M.Eng. in electrical and electronic engineering from Imperial College in London.
